Co President Tamar Arenson
 
Tamar Arenson is a senior studying Political Science and International Relations.
Her favorite Jewish song is, Ani Veatah Neshae et Haolam by Arik Einstein, and her favorite Jewish Food is Matzah Ball soup. Tamar says, “I love Chabad because it was the first place on campus that made me feel at home. As president, I hope to provide experiences for other Tulane students to make Chabad their home.”

Matt Blum is a Senior from North Coldwell, NJ, studying finance. His favorite Jewish food is shawarma and he loves the Monday night BBQs with Chabad. Matt says, “I love being involved in the Jewish Community and Chabad gives me that opportunity.”

Emily Goldstein is a senior from Long Island, NY studying Management. Her favorite Jewish song is Shnei Meshugaim by Omer Adam, and her favorite Chabad at Tulane activity is Shabbar 1000. Emily says, “I love Chabad because it feels like a home away from home. I have made the best friends and memories here since my first year at Tulane. I know I’ll always have a home at Chabad even after I graduate.”

Sean Ravaei is a Senior from Los Angeles, studying Sociology on the Pre med track. One of his favorite Jewish songs is Ose Shalom and he loves to play Basketball. Sean loves Chabad because, “ Chabad Is always so welcoming! There is nothing better than coming to Chabad and celebrating Shabbat and Holidays with friends.”

Molly Bookoff is a senior studying Sociology from Baltimore, MD. Her favorite Jewish food is chocolate babka and her favorite Chabad event is lunch and learn! She loves going to Chabad because “every time I’m there, it reminds me of my Jewish day school which always felt like home!”

Danielle Askowitz, a senior from Miami, FL, is majoring in psychology and sociology. One of her favorite Jewish foods is matzo ball soup. Her favorite Chabad Tulane activity is Bagels, Lox and Tefillin on Sunday afternoons. She says, “I love that Chabad inspires an active Jewish presence on campus.”

 Ilana Israel is a Senior from West Orange NJ, studying marketing Management . She loves Challah and her favorite event at Chabad is Shabbat 1000. Ilana loves Chabad because, “ It brings together so many different students through the many events and the Jewish Holidays.”

Daniel Kohen is a Senior at Tulane from White Plains studying Economics and Public Health. His favorite Jewish food is chocolate chip challah and his favorite event with Chabad is Simhat Torah. Daniel loves Chabad and says, “I hope to continue having Chabad as a resource to lean on while at Tulane, and to continue inspiring new students to find vaule and comfort in the Chabad community”

Maya says, “I love Chabad because it gives me a place to feel at home while at Tulane. On Chabad board, I hope to help others find their place in the jewish community here.”

 Liana Klin is a sophomore from Atlanta, GA, studying psychology and Spanish. Her favorite Jewish food is Matzo ball soup. Additionally, she enjoys tap dancing in her spare time. She says, “I love Chabad because it gives me a place to be my home on holidays or times when I want to be with family. It gives me that safe, community environment when school is feeling big. As a board member, my goal is to get freshman more involved at Chabad.”

Garret Simon is a sophomore from New York, studying marketing. He loves shwarma and rugelach and his favorite activities at Chabad are Friday night dinners and our weekly barbecue. Garret loves Chabad because, “ It’s a place where a Jewish community at a university can come together for great food, meeting new people, and somewhere to pray when you need.”

Ali Slatkin is a sophomore from New York studying Political Science and Film. Her favorite food is falafel and she loves Chabad’s weekly challah bakes and Shabbat 1000. Ali said, “I love Chabad because it connects me to members of my Jewish community here at Tulane that I might otherwise never have met. It is a great way to feel connected to Judaism while at college and meet new people in a fun and exciting way.”

Georgia Gruen is a Sophomore from Memphis, TN, majoring in Communications. Georgia’s favorite Jewish food is a bagel with lox. One thing she loves to do with Chabad is attend the weekly BBQs. Georgia loves Chabad because, “It’s a family-like environment that has allowed me to grow my Jewish identity and build a community at Tulane.”
